The 8th International Siyum HaRambam took place at the Javits Center in Manhattan on 28 Tishrei 5752. The Siyum attracted crowds of thousands of Yidden from across New York and was addressed by renowned Gedolei Yisroel. The Siyum was masterfully led by the legendary chairman of the International Siyum HaRambam Committee, the late Rabbi Shmuel Butman AH.

The Siyum of the eighth cycle of Rambam was made by Harav Yisroel Yitzchok Piekarski, Rosh Yeshiva of 770, and the Haschala of the new cycle by renowned posek Harav Pinchos Hirschprung, the Av Beis Din of Montreal.

The event began with chazara of the Rebbe’s Hadran on the Rambam by the chozer, Reb Yoel Kahn AH.

The many renowned Rabbonim, Poskim, and Gedolei Yisroel who addressed the crowd included Harav Eliyahu Fischer, representative of the Gerer Rebbe; Harav Moshe Menachem Schapiro; Harav Mordechai Dov Altein of Vaad Rabonei Lubavitch; Harav Yerachmiel Zeltzer, a representative of the Skulener Rebbe; Harav Yehuda Kalman Marlow of the Beis Din of Crown Heights; Harav Moshe Dovid Steinwurtzel, representative of the Bobover Rebbe;

Harav Simcha Elberg, chairman of Agudas Harabonim; Harav Yitzchok Isaac Liebes of the Igud Harabonim; Harav Moshe Nosson (Max) Schreier of Histadrus Harabonim; Harav Boruch Leizerowski, the Av Beis Din of Philadelphia; Harav Moshe Tendler; Harav Yitzchok Yehuda Yaroslavsky of the Beis Din Rabonei Anash; philanthropist R’ Yossel HaKohen Gutnick; the Nadvorner Rebbe; Harav Yosef Ba-Gad, Rosh Yeshiva of Nechalim; and mashpia R’ Mendel Futerfas.

A live performance was held by the Tzlil V’Zemer Choir.
