Has Congresswoman Clarke Abandoned the Jewish Community?
Yesterday, the U.S. Congress voted on a resolution “Reaffirming Iran remains the largest state sponsor of terrorism.” Of 53 democrats who voted No, including the most Anti-Israel representatives, was the Congress member representing the Crown Heights Jewish community, Yvette Clarke.

Yesterday, the U.S. Congress voted on H. Res. 1099 in a House of Representatives resolution titled “Reaffirming Iran remains the largest state sponsor of terrorism.” The House passed the non‑binding resolution 372–53, with all Republicans voting “yes” and just the 53 most far-left progressive Democrats voting “no.”
Of those 53 democrats who voted No, which includes the most Anti-Israel representatives, including the DSA ‘Squad,’ was the Congress member representing the Crown Heights Jewish community, Yvette Clarke, she voted No on a very bipartisan resolution that reaffirmed Iran is the largest state sponsor of terrorism worldwide.
Rep. Clarke has also released a disturbing statement yesterday, boasting that she voted for the ‘Iran War Powers Resolution’ which attempted to have Congress stop President Trump’s ‘Operation Epic Fury’ on the Iranian regime.
This is yet another spit in the face by our Congresswoman towards her Jewish constituents. This June 23, we can make history by voting her out in the Democratic primary, as long as we are all registered as Democrats and show up to vote.
There are currently four candidates splitting each others votes for Congressional district NY-09, which includes the entire Crown Heights, Flatbush, and most of Boro Park. There is a pro-Israel Jewish candidate who is running, Mike Goldfarb, who already had several meetings with CH community activists. There are also talks between community leaders in Crown Heights, Flatbush, and Boro Park about potentially uniting and having a Lubavitcher run for the Congressional seat.
Those in our district that are angry that our Congress member has silenced the Jewish community, yet again, and feel betrayed—can make a difference by getting every single friend, relative and neighbor in Crown Heights registered to vote as a Democrat, so the Jewish communiy can have enough votes to have an Orthodox Jew from within our community primary her during this years upcoming June Democratic primary.
