The impact made by the Hadar Hatorah Yeshiva for ba’alei teshuva was strongly felt at their 60th-anniversary dinner, as they honored one alumnus from each of the six decades since their founding.
The impact made by the Hadar Hatorah Yeshiva for ba’alei teshuva was strongly felt at their 60th-anniversary dinner, as they honored one alumnus from each of the six decades since their founding.
Spanning sixty years, six decades, Hadar Hatorah has produced literally thousands of alumni who have established beautiful families all over the world and have been a huge source of nachas to the yeshiva.
On Sunday night, they honored six of those individuals who epitomize the values and the chinuch they received while at Hadar Hatorah, who have successful careers in shlichus and education and have continually maintained and cherished their connection to Hadar Hatorah.
Representing the first decade was Rabbi Dr. Dovid Sholom Pape, longtime educator and editor of the Tzivos Hashem Magazine; Representing the second decade was Rabbi Yehuda Ferris, Shliach of Berkeley, California; The third decade was represented by Professor Dovid Wohl, Chairman, Math Department, Lander College for Men; The fourth decade by Rabbi Yisrael Moshe Ort, Director of Chabad of Auraria Campus in Denver, Colorado; The fifth decade by Rabbi Matisyahu Devlin, teacher and Mashpia in Miami, FL; and the sixth, and most recent decade was represented by Rabbi Reuvein Mizrachi, teacher at Darchai Menachem in Crown Heights.
The event was also addressed by Rabbi Yaakov Goldberg, rosh yeshiva of Hadar Hatorah.
