Over a thousand orchim – bachurim and yungeleit – participated in a grand welcome kinus held by the “Eshel Hachnosas Orchim” organization at 770 Eastern Parkway.

The event was graced by the presence of Rabbi Yosef Yeshaya Braun, the Mara D’Asra and member of the Crown Heights Beis Din, who conveyed the blessing of the neighborhood rabbanim and addressed the guests about the proper conduct in the Rebbe’s shul.

Rabbi Binyomin Gandel, a mashpia at the Chabad yeshiva in Tzfas, spoke about the proper spiritual approach that allows one to ‘receive’ the Rebbe’s hashpaos while at 770.

The director of Eshel, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hendel, also spoke about the great merit of being by the Rebbe during Tishrei, and noted that this year marks 30 years since he began directing Eshel, following the passing of the organization’s founder, Rabbi Moshe Yeruslavsky. Since then, said Rabbi Hendel, Eshel has grown larger and better every passing year.

One of the bachurim of 770 spoke about the need to be prepared at every moment for the hisgalus of the Rebbe, and that the davening and learning should be done accordingly. Afterwards, Rabbi Yaakov Lenchner spoke about the importance of achdus.

Towards the end of the event, the orchim received a special teshura with new revelations of Chassidishe history.
