75 years after the holocaust, the first-ever car Menorah parade took place on the fourth night of Chanuka in Freiburg Germany, followed by a Menorah lighting in the city center.

Around two dozen cars joined the parade each decorated with its own menorah, made their was from market around to the city center where a giant menorah lighting was held.

“Under normal circumstances it takes around three months to get city permits to hold a parade,” Rabbi Yaakov Gitler told Anash.org. “This year, due to the uncertainty around the virus, the whole parade was arranged the last minute, yet we received permits right before Chanuka.”

Following the parade and menorah lighting ceremony, participants were treated to a captivating fire show.
