A camp staff training session for girls will be held this Sunday in Crown Heights. Staff will come away with practical tips, inspiration, and a special keepsake.
The Camp Gan Israel model is based on the innovative activities, fun spirit, and perhaps most importantly, the energetic and caring staff. CKids, in conjunction with Bais Rivkah, is holding a training session for camp staff so that they can do their Shlichus of imparting the CGI experience in the most professional and safe way.
“Our goal is to empower the counselors so that they can go to camp confident in the knowledge that they are equipped with the best methods and tools to ensure a positive and impactful summer,” explained Rabbi Zalmy Loewenthal, director of CKids International.
“The effect that a summer in Camp Gan Israel can have on a Jewish child – there’s nothing like it,” adds Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, executive director of Merkos 302. “The warmth of Yiddishkeit as well as the care and positivity displayed by the counselors leaves an impression on the children that lasts a lifetime.”
The training will be led by renowned camp expert, principal, and Shliach, Rabbi Zalmy Kudan. He will explore topics such as behavioral management, optimizing communication between staff and directors, inspiring oneself in order to inspire others, and more. “It is going to be the next stage, part two, of the training we did last year. I look forward to being a part of your hatzlacha in camp and taking it to the next level,” says Rabbi Kudan.
The training will take place on Sunday, Pesach Sheini, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, at Bais Rivkah Crown Street.
