The Crown Heights community enjoyed a calm and peaceful Labor Day on Monday. With no Labor Day parade taking place due to COVID-19, all streets were open and schools ran like a usual day.
Instead of being full with rowdy and noisy revelers, the streets were mainly quiet, with the normal sights of students rushing to school, residents shopping and children enjoying the beautiful weather.
For added security, Shomrim members with bulletproof vests stood at critical junctures when students were going to and from school, but baruch Hashem there were no incidents.
