Fund Established to Support Vogel Family

A fund was established to help support the family of Mrs. Shternie Vogel a”h, a shlucha in Postville, Iowa, who tragically passed away at the age of 55 after suffering from a terrible illness for the past year.

Mrs. Shternie Vogel, a Shlucha in Postville, Iowa, tragically passed away on Friday, Shvii Shel Pesach, at the age of 55, after suffering from a terrible illness for the past year. 

Please open your hearts and contribute towards burial costs and the many other bills that were incurred throughout her illness, and to help the family get back on their feet.

Mrs. Vogel was born in Montreal, Canada to Rabbi Sholom Ber and Leah Gurkov. She was married to Rabbi Yisroel Noach Vogel, and they served as shluchim to Bogotá, Colombia for seven years. They later moved to Postville, Iowa, where they served as the first shluchim in the area.

Mrs. Vogel served as the secretary of the Chabad school in Postville, and was involved in the yeshiva, hosting and feeding the bochurim there.

She also served as the mikvah attendant for Postville for many years, she went out of her way and was very dedicated to this cause.
