Two Lag B’omer community celebrations were held in Toronto, with 2500 attending the event in the north and 1000 in the south. Participants of both events enjoyed inflatables, rides, a carnival, BBQ, bonfire and more.
Two Lag B’omer community celebrations were held in Toronto, where 2500 attended in the north and 1000 in the south. At both events, smiling children had lots of fun, men put on Tefilin and everyone enjoyed a great BBQ.
Thursday afternoon, thousands gathered outside the Swartz/Reisman Centre in the north of Toronto and thousands more came to a separate event at Earl Bales Park in the Centre of Toronto.
Participants of both events enjoyed a wonderful show. Child representatives of every Chabad House came up to recite the 12 Pesukim, followed by a marching parade.
Inflatables, rides, a carnival, BBQ and food court, pony rides, carnival booths, concession machines, bonfire, game truck and more at both events, the Lag Baomer spirit was felt in the air!
Many people had a great time by booths that the shluchim made for their communities.
The event in Northern Toronto was coordinated by:
- Dovid Faynberg and Rabbi Mendel Zaltzman of the Jewish Russian Community Centre of Ontario (JRCC),
- Rabbi Yisreal Landa and Rabbi Shimon Binstak of Chabad Israeli Center
- Rabbi Yonah Vilanken of Tzivos Hashem.
