From North To South, 4,500 Celebrate Lag B’omer in Toronto

Two Lag B’omer community celebrations were held in Toronto, with over 3,000 attending the event in the north and 1,500 in the south. Participants of both events enjoyed inflatables, rides, a carnival, BBQ, bonfire and more.

Lag B’omer community Hakhel celebrations were held in Toronto, where 3000 attended in the north and 1500 in the south. At both events, smiling children had lots of fun, men put on Tefilin and everyone enjoyed a great BBQ.

Tuesday afternoon, thousands gathered outside the Swartz/Reisman Centre in the north of Toronto and thousands more came to a separate event at Earl Bales Park in the Centre of Toronto.

Participants of both events enjoyed a wonderful show. Child representatives of every Chabad House came up to recite the 12 Pesukim, followed by a marching parade with signs that the children received at Hebrew school and their Chabad house and prepared at home.

Inflatables, rides, a carnival, BBQ and food court, pony rides, carnival booths, concession machines, bonfire, game truck and more at both events, the Lag Baomer spirit was felt in the air!

Avrohom, the 96-year-old who just had his bris, joined the parade and celebration! He of course uplifted and inspired the crowd.

Many people had a great time by booths that the shluchim made for their communities.
