The coat worn by the Frierdiker Rebbe for many years is now on public display in the exhibition at the Rebbe’s library.

The coat, which can be seen in many famous photos of the Frierdiker Rebbe’s final years, joins other holy items that had belonged to him which are on display. Among them are his spodik, glasses, hat, pen, and citizenship papers.

On display in the exhibition room of the Rebbe’s library are many precious and holy items that belonged to the Chabad Rebbeim and other geonim and tzadikim. A special display case is dedicated to each of the seven Chabad Rebbeim, with items that belonged to them, their handwritten manuscripts, and early prints of their work.

From time to time, another priceless item is added to the display. Over the past years, these included a silver bowl that had belonged to the Alter Rebbe, the menorahs of the Frierdiker Rebbe and the Rebbe, and other items of historical significance.

The new addition is sure to cause excitement among Chabad chassidim and far beyond, who now have the chance to see another holy item that was worn by the Frierdiker Rebbe for many years.

The Rebbe’s Library exhibition is located at 766 Eastern Parkay, with entrance through the ‘Sukkah’.
