Live at 9:00 PM ET: Brothers Rabbis Manis Friedman, Avraham Fried and Shloime Friedman will share recollections of their childhood growing up near Rebbetzin Chana, at a Zoom farbrengen marking her yahrtzeit.
This Sunday, Vov Tishrei, 5782, at 9:00 EDT, Vaad Or Vechom will present a Zoom farbrengen marking the yahrtzeit of Rebbetzin Chanah. The gathering will enable thousands of Chassidim to join in remembering the life and legacy of the Rebbe’s righteous mother, and will serve as a platform for positive hachlatos in her memory.
The farbrengen is a project of Vaad Or Vechom Hahiskashrus, which regularly creates programs such as these to benefit chassidim around the world. Vaad Or Vechom has also collected resources for the yahrtzeit, including practical ways to mark the day, articles, sichos of the Rebbe, and much more. These resources are available at OrVechom.com/VovTishrei.
The farbrengen will be available live on OrVechom.com/Zoom.
Headlining the event will be a trio of brothers who grew up as neighbors of Rebbetzin Chanah. Rabbis Manis Friedman, Avraham Fried, and Shloime Friedman will share recollections of their childhood spent near the Rebbe’s mother.
Rabbi Asher Zeilingold will share his recollections of Vov Tishrei 5725 and the lessons the Rebbe shared from his mother’s life. Rabbi Zalman Schmukler will share recollections he heard from his mother who merited to have a close relationship with Rebbetzin Chanah for a number of years. Rabbi Yitzchok Raskin will put forth a call to action in the spirit of “והחי יתן אל לבו” — “The living will take to heart” — suggesting practical hachlatos we can undertake on this holy day.
