For Every Occurrence in Life, You Can Find Lessons in Torah

In preparation for Gimmel Tammuz, we present you each day with a unique short quote from the Rebbe. Prepared by Rabbi Pesach Schmerling, shliach in Far Rockaway, NY.

Our Sages taught (Brochos 61b) that Torah is the natural living habitat for the Jewish people. Torah isn’t merely a book of instructions how to conduct oneself in certain circumstances, outside which, the Jew would be just like any other human being. Torah is the very life of a Jew, requiring him to be permeated by Torah every single moment, and only then does his life have meaning and content. Based on this perspective, it is certain that for any event in one’s life he will be able to find various explanations and concepts in Torah related to it.
