South Florida shluchim were at hand at a reception honoring Gerrer Rosh Yeshiva Rav Shaul Alter who is visiting the area. Bal Harbour shliach Rabbi Sholom Ber Lipskar spoke at a more intimate gathering.

A number of Chabad shluchim joined a reception in Florida honoring Harav Shaul Alter, Gerrer Rosh Yeshiva and leader of a faction of Gerrer Chassidim.
The son of the Pnei Menachem of Gur, Harav Alter served as the Rosh Yeshiva of the Sfas Emes Yeshiva, the flagship Yeshiva of the Gerrer Chassidus in Eretz Yisroel. Since Simchas Torah of 5780, he has served as the leader of a faction of Gerrer Chassidim, and is highly respected for his incredible knowledge of Torah and deep shiurim.
While on a short visit to the United States, Harav Alter stopped in Florida, where a reception was held in his honor at the Boca Raton Synagogue. On the dias at the event were a number of local shluchim.
Later, a smaller, more intimate event was held for supporters. Rabbi Sholom Ber Lipskar of The Shul of Bal Harbour, FL, and founder of the Aleph Institute, warmly greeted the distinguished guest, who returned his warm greetings in kind.
Rabbi Lipskar was then invited to speak for the small crowd, with the Gerrer Rosh Yeshiva listening closely.
