Flash Floods Ravage Chabad House in Bronxville, NY

This week, as Rabbi Sruli and Mushka Deitsch, shluchim to Bronxville, New York, were finalizing their Rosh Hashana preparations, Hurricane Ida completely decimated their neighborhood, and the Chabad House with it, destroying seforim and computers, and damaging Sifrei Torah r”l.

Chabad of Bronxville, directed by Rabbi Sruli and Mushka Deitsch, has an open door policy. Jews from all walks of life feel welcome, comfortable, and as members of the family.

This week, as Mushka and Sruli were finalizing their Rosh Hashana preparations for davening, meals and holiday packages, Hurricane Ida completely decimated their neighborhood, and the Chabad House with it.

Everything was under 6 feet of water. The Sefer Torahs were damaged, bookshelves collapsed, office supplies including computers gone, and freezers stocked with food for the Yomim Noraim destroyed. This is all with mere days to regroup in time for the Yomim Noraim!

Help restore the Chabad House in Bronxville NY! Open your heart to Rabbi Sruli and Mushka and the Bronxville community.
