After months of work and preparation, Rabbi Moshe Shilat, chairman of Chabad on Campus and CTeen in Eretz Yisroel, announced that five new couples will be heading out on shlichus in the coming months.
The announcement came the day before Chof Ches Sivan, which marks the anniversary of when the Rebbe arrived in the USA, beginning a new stage in the spread of Yiddishkeit and Chassidus. The announcement also comes a number of days before Gimmel Tammuz, the Rebbe’s yom hilula.
Each couple will be heading out to a shlichus position on campus, or to head a CTeen branch in cities throughout Eretz Yisroel, joining close to 70 couples who service the younger population.
Each shlichus position was coordinated with the head shliach of the area,, who welcomed the new shluchim enthusiastically.
The new shluchim are:
Rabbi Menachem and Batel Gabbai
CTeen Rechovot
Rabbi Yisroel and Feigy Hecht
Cteen Haifa
Rabbi Sage and Rivka Yacoub
