With thousands of shluchos and guests flooding the streets of Crown Heights for the Chof Beis Shevat weekend, Shomrim has introduced its first-ever Shabbos Patrol.

Shomrim hired security guards to operate its marked vehicle “Car 1” during the evening hours of Friday night and throughout Shabbos day as an added measure of security.

“Our car has logged over 50 miles of patrol,” a Shomrim coordinator told Anash.org. “The thousands of guests and residents in the shechuna can walk the streets feeling safe as our volunteers patrol the community.”
