The city of Lagos, Nigeria’s most populous city, hosted its first-ever Lag Baomer Parade and Bonefire, led by shluchim Rabbi Mendy and Mazal Sternbach.

Lagos is the most populous city in Nigeria and the third-largest city in Africa. The Sternbachs moved there recently to open their own Chabad House to serve about 450 Jewish residents in the coastal city.

On Thursday, the city hosted a Lag B’omer celebration, beginning with a mini “parade”, complete with signs and banners, and continuing with a bonfire, bbq and kumzitz.
