The Lag Ba’omer parade in Monsey experienced success beyond the organizers’ wildest expectations, with large crowds of 1000 Yidden showing up from the many different communities and shuls in Monsey.

For the first time in history, a splendid Lag Ba’omer parade was organized in Rockland County. Over 1000 Yidden came from all the communities living in Monsey, including Lubavitchers, many different types of chassidim, and Litvish and Yeshivish families.

Creating the mood at the beautiful celebration was the Freilach Band, and the Shir V’shevach Choir. Singer Boruch Sholom Blesofsky livened up the event with his joyous singing. The bochurim from Mesivta Lubavitch of Monsey prepared a beautiful marching band and dressed up as clowns which was a highlight of the event.

A stunt show entertained the crowd next with BMX bikes, doing daring tricks. Rabbi Yisroel Silverstein was the program’s MC who led the children with pesukim, prizes, and divrei Torah, and master storyteller Rabbi Yechiel Krisch captivated the crowd with his unique talent.

The event was arranged by Rabbi Dovid Weber, Shliach of the Rebbe and Rav of BMML, with the dedicated assistance of Rabbi Levi Tiechtel of Igud Anash and the hardworking Shluchim of the Mesivta.

“The event was a huge success,” one of the organizers shared. “We could clearly see the Rebbe’s brachos in everything. This inspires us to do even more, to bring Brachos to our brothers and sisters in Eretz Yisroel and to hasten the coming of Moshiach.”
