The conclusion of shiva for R’ Pinye Korf a”h, was marked Tuesday night with a farbrengen at 770 Eastern Parkway, with members the Hanhala of Tomchei Temimim and Oholei Torah.

R’ Pinye served for decades as a mashpia in various yeshivos and communities, and exemplified what it meant to be a genuine chossid and oved. Shortly after his marriage, he was appointed as a mashpia in Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim in Newark, New Jersey, which later moved to Morristown.

In 5730, he returned to Crown Heights, and was appointed as a mashpia in Oholei Torah, a position he served for decades. Reb Pinye also taught Chassidus to adults, both in Crown Heights, where he held shiurim for many decades, as well as in frum neighborhoods throughout the New York area.

Following the passing of Rabbi Itche Springer, Reb Pinye assumed the role of mashpia and mashgiach of the 770 yeshiva, until his passing last week.
