Just days before thousands of guests arrive for Tishrei 5783, Eshel Hachnosas Orchim of Crown Heights dedicated a specious new hospitality house.

The new building, located at 560 Eastern Parkway, was recently purchased by Eshel to serve as a second hotel for guests in Crown Heights, joining their iconic building at 272 Kingston Ave. With countless guests arriving in Crown Heights each year, and the number only growing, the building will help serve as a place to host the guests while visiting.

Joining the chanukas habayis on Wednesday night were rabbonim, activists and donors who had helped bring the dream of purchasing a second building to fruition. A lavish reception, complete with live music and l’chaim greeted the guests as they were welcomed to see the new building.

Addressing the event were Harav Yosef Yeshaya Braun, member of the Crown Heights Beis Din, Rabbi Mendel Yusewitz, menahel of Ohr Menachem school, Rabbi Yankel Chazan, Rabbi Mendy Hendel, head of Eshel, and others.

Rabbi Braun praised the extraordinary hachnasas orchim of the Crown Heights community and the part that Eshel has in it, saying that the organization helps so many be able to travel to the Rebbe with peace of mind.

The event also unveiled the name of the building – Eshel Mottel, named after R’ Mottel Chein, a fiery chossid who served on the board of Eshel for many years.

The guests and donors were then taken on a tour of the new building, which is already prepared to receive hundreds of guests of Tishrei. They then each were honored with affixing a mezuza to one of the doors of the building, and raffles were drawn for prizes for donors who had contributed to the building campaign.
