Enthusiastic Onlookers Cheer Amsterdam Menorah Parade

In the heart of Amsterdam, the shluchim organized a vibrant Chanukah menorah parade, showcasing the community’s resilience and faith. The parade, which drove through the city’s center, the Dams Square, and more, featured a procession of 30 cars adorned with menorahs, accompanied by police escort and enthusiastic onlookers.
The parade was a powerful display of Jewish pride, coming just days after a horrific attack targeting Jews in Sydney, Australia. The community’s response was overwhelming, with passersby dancing, smiling, and even requesting menorahs.
The parade ended in high spirits with all coming inside to a grand chanukah party over lakes and doughnuts.
The event was organized by Rabbi Eli and Faigale Spiero, along with Rabbi Akiva and Taiby Camisar, who worked tirelessly to bring the community together. Additionally, four bochurim from Brunoy helped out with the parade.
The Amsterdam menorah parade has become an annual tradition, with the first-ever event taking place in 2021, inspiring many with its message of light and unity. Year after year, the parade is only growing, and the police are getting more involved, giving an extra level of honorable escort.
