Chabad photographer Meir Alfasi, famous for his photos of exotic places around the world traveled recently to the Island Nation of Cuba joined by Yossi Rainitz and Yaki Hershkop.

The three visited the Jewish community in Cuba, and met with members of the recently established a Kolel – Kolel Menajem – in Havana, Cuba, where young men devote their morning hours to learning Torah and in the afternoon go fishing at the local beach.

The group spent the full Shabbos with the local community, davening, learning, farbrengen, and strengthening them in their commitment to Yiddishkeit. Festive Shabbos meals were held at the Chabad House operated remotely by Rabbi Shimon Aisenbach, head of Chabad Friends of Cuban Jewry – CFCJ.
