Eric Adams and Crystal Hudson, the Crown Heights endorsed candidates for mayor and city council, hold sizable leads over their opponents after the first-choice votes.

Adams commanded a formidable 10-point lead of the first-choice votes in New York City’s hotly contested Democratic mayoral primary Tuesday.

The Brooklyn borough president had about 31% of the vote, pulling ahead of Wiley, a de Blasio administration lawyer, who had about 22% of the vote. Kathryn Garcia, the former city sanitation commissioner, is in third with just under 20% of the vote.

The outgoing borough president and former state senator has a decades-long friendship with the Crown Heights Jewish community, and local activists organized a strong “get out the vote” campaign.

It will be a couple of weeks before a winner can actually be declared, with absentee ballots and ranked-choice votes still to be counted.

Crystal Hudson, a candidate for the 35th City Council district which includes most of Crown Heights holds a narrow lead over opponent Michael Hollingsworth. Hudson leads with 38.6% to Hollingsworth 34.5%. Renee Collymore was in third with 13 percent of the vote.

In her speech to supporters Tuesday night, Hudson thanked the Crown Heights Orthodox Jewish community for their support and said she’s “proud to have them on my team”.
