Reb Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin hosted the bochurim of Tomchei Temimim – Chovevei Torah for an unforgettable inspiring Shabbaton in the Alef Beis Gimmel Center in Jackson, NJ.
The Talmidim of Tomchei Temimim – Chovevei Torah, together with the Menahel Rabbi Shlomo Sternberg, were fortunate to spend Shabbos Parshas Vayeshev with Reb Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin at the Alef Beis Gimmel Center, celebrating the fourth anniversary of R’ Sholom Mordechai’s miraculous release.
Throughout the Shabbos R’ Sholom Mordechai farbrenged for over eight hours sharing his story and the lessons learned from it. He answered the bochurim’s questions and applied his personal experience to the challenges we all go through in our day-to-day lives.
“The truly inspiring farbrengens and the amazing accommodations made it an unforgettable Shabbos,” the yeshiva’s administration said.
This Shabbaton had special significance, as Rabbi Sternberg would frequently visit R’ Sholom Mordechai when he was in “A place called prison”, and would bring along his talmidim to farbreng with him, which was always a life changing experience for the Bochurim. Being able to recreate that experience, yet in freedom, was extremely special.
