For the 32nd Anniversary of 28 Nissan, the Moshiach Office’s Unity Event highlights the unifying power of Moshaich, and the impact we can all make; LIVE event in Brooklyn.
Ahead of 28 Nissan, the Moshiach Office has unveiled plans for a grand unity farbrengen to be held in Crown Heights on 28 Nissan, 19 April, billed as The Unity Mega Moshiach Event. Uniting speakers from many segments of the Jewish community, the evening of Moshiach inspiration aims to highlight how the shared hope of Moshiach serves as a unifying force across the spectrum of contemporary Jewish communities.
The Unity Event will feature a star-studded gathering of prominent speakers and highlight the practical ways we can play a role in the “ingathering of the exiles” here and now. Building on the theme of the Moshiach Office’s Acharon Shel Pesach program, “One By One,” the unity event will inform and inspire participants on the power of sharing just one mitzvah with another Jew.
“It’s an opportunity to spotlight this core belief we share as yidden,” says Rabbi Shlomie Naparstek, director of the Moshiach Office. For him, this gathering is particularly apt for the Hakhel year. “It’s a powerful thing when we come together to gain inspiration about Moshiach, especially in a Hakhel year,” he says.
Organizers are inviting all members of the Crown Heights community, as well as Jewish communities from neighboring communities. A global audience will view the program via an online live stream as well.
Held on 28 Nissan, the event marks thirty-two years since the Rebbe challenged the Jewish world to do everything in their power to bring Moshiach. Famously, the Rebbe urged his Chassidim to “Tut altz vos ir kent tzu arupbrengen moshiach taikef umiyad mamosh.” In the spirit of the day, The Unity Event’s program will focus on the practical ways we can build a Moshiach reality.
“This will give tremendous nachas to the Rebbe,” says Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Chairman of the Moshiach Office and Vice-Chairman of Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch. “The Rebbe always insisted that Moshiach is at the core of Yiddishkeit and every Yid has a deep yearning for Moshiach deep in their Neshamas. It’s a Jewish thing, not a Lubavitcher thing.”
Coming on the heels of the Moshiach Office’s Festival of the Future program, The Unity Event promises to inspire, educate, and demonstrate how we can all play a part in the unfolding drama of the redemptive process. Rabbi Naparstek says the event is a time to pause and reconnect with our mission.
“After the Moshiach Seudah, The Unity Event is a great time to come together as a community and focus on the power we all have to make a real impact and bring Moshiach.”
