Chicago Anash Gather for In-Depth Kinus Torah

The program was opened by Rabbi Meir Moscowitz, Head Shliach to Illinois, who welcomed the crowd and spoke about the Rebbe’s unique chavivus and insistence on holding Kinusei Torah—particularly during Chol Hamoed.

Rabbi Baruch Hertz, rov of Congregation Bnei Ruven, addressed a series of recent halachic shailos, including contemporary applications such as the use of electric vehicles for Hatzalah and their implications in halacha.

Rabbi Naftoli Silberberg, of the Rohr Jewish Learning Institute, delivered a profound shiur in Tanya, exploring the concept of “HaNefesh ikar metzuyuso shel ha’adam”—that the soul defines the essence of the human being.

Rabbi Levi Stern, a local maggid shiur, analyzed whether Seder Korban Pesach may be said after shkiah.

Rabbi Yisroel Krasnianski gave a pilpul on a puzzling Tosefos which questions why R’ Yehuda ben Beseira himself did not ascend to Yerushalayim, offering a new understanding of the sugya.

Rabbi Yehoshua Resin presented a halachic discussion on the parameters of the matzah eaten during Korech—is it a continuation of the original mitzvah of matzah or a separate obligation?

Hatomim Zelig Notik spoke about the Rebbe’s Torah on Shabbos Hagadol, drawing from various sichos and highlighting its relevance even today.

Hatomim Avrohom Yaakov Silber explored the fascinating halachic question of whether matzah made from Maaser Sheni can be used for the mitzvah of eating matzah on Pesach night.

Anash and bochurim left uplifted, having fulfilled the Rebbe’s call to infuse the days of Pesach with the light of Torah.
