Chazzan Records ‘Ki Anu Amecha’ Melody

Listen: Chazan Dovid Caytak sings both versions of the Niggun Ki Anu Amecha which were taught by the Rebbe on the night of Simchas Torah 5717 and 5724.

In honor of Gimmel Tammuz, hazan Dovid Caytak recorded both versions of the Niggun Ki Anu Amecha which were taught by the Rebbe on the night of Simchas Torah 5717 and 5724.

Early in the morning of Simchas Torah 5717, the Rebbe came to 770, gave out mashke to those who accepted upon themselves to add in learning Torah, and taught the niggun. He then said; “If we are all children of the creator of the universe, it is understood how much love and brotherhood has to be between us”!

During Simchas Torah of 5724, the last Simchas Torah that the Rebbe taught niggunim, the Rebbe taught a second slower version of Ki Anu Amecha.

Dovid Caytak is a Baal Menagen and Chazzan who lives in Yerushalayim. In honor of the Rebbe’s 120th birthday, he has taken upon himself to record the Rebbe’s Niggunim in a classical style, with beautiful arrangements by Elor Welner.

This niggun was sponsored by Sara and Mendy Loewenthal in honor of their 15th year anniversary.
