On this auspicious day of Hei Teves, a day associated with Seforim, an increase in learning and Hiskashrus to our Rebbe, Chayenu is launching a brand new product – a specialized edition of Chayenu Print, which will feature the 3-chapter-per-day cycle of the Daily Rambam study.
This new product will be called Chayenu 3
Chayenu 3 will be a self-standing product, which will include the foundational sections of Chitas (Chumash-Rashi, Tehillim, and Tanya) as well as “Shlosha Prokim Rambam” (3-chapters-per-day) with Hebrew & English from the classic set of Mishneh Torah, translated by Rabbi Eli Touger, published by Moznaim.
This initiative was made possible by an anonymous donor who has a passion for the Rebbe’s directive for Limmud HaRambam and gave the seed funding for the project.
The new product will be available in stores in Crown Heights – as well as group orders for Yeshivos, Mesivtas, Kollel or Anash Shuls & Chabad Houses – in time for Yud Shvat / Parshas Beshalach 5782, G-d willing. (Shipping to individuals (in the USA at first) will begin shortly after.

“Trying” to Learn Rambam
Rabbi Michoel Seligson wrote a commentary to HaYom-Yom, the Rebbe’s first published book. As he prepared his edition for press he took the bold liberty of compiling a biography of the Rebbe, just as the Rebbe had done for the previous Rebbeim when he compiled HaYom-Yom in 5703. He sent it in to the Rebbe for editing and the Rebbe not only accepted it but made comments to it, indicating that he welcomed it. In the biography, Rabbi Seligson went on to describe the Rebbe’s initiatives and projects year by year. For 5744 (1984) he wrote that the Rebbe had initiated the daily study of Rambam encouraging everyone to “try and learn” three chapters per day (or one of the other other tracks (1 chapter per day or Sefer HaMitzvos). The Rebbe crossed out the word “try” להשתדל and only kept the word “to learn” ללמוד.
So, if you’ve been “trying” to learn Rambam and are committed to the three chapters a day cycle, but it has been feeling more like Tehillim, this new booklet will bring you one giant step closer to fulfilling the Rebbe’s directive and wish of us actually learning Rambam daily.
