A regular weekday became a Yom Tov in the Chabad Yeshiva of Rechovot, as the students and faculty welcomed a new Torah, the first dedicated to the yeshiva in over a decade.

The yeshiva, which serves Mesivta age bochurim, is headed by Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Chaim Aharon. Over 80 bochurim attend the yeshiva, from Rechovot and other locations across Eretz Yisroel.

The new Torah was donated by the Kriaf family, who have supported the yeshiva for many years.

Bochurim and hanhala danced with the new Torah down the streets of the city, followed by hakafos in the Yeshiva. They than sat down for a festive seudas mitzvah, which continued on to a chassidishe farbrengen.
