Chabad of Staten Island Welcomes New Sefer Torah

Chabad of Staten Island, headed by Rabbi Moshe and Chana Katzman, celebrated the dedication of a new Sefer Torah this week with a joyous parade on the streets and dinner celebration.

Chabad of Staten Island, headed by Rabbi Moshe and Chana Katzman, celebrated the dedication of a new Sefer Torah on Sunday, October 10th.

The Sefer Torah was donated by long-time members of the Chabad House, Joel and Sara Rosenberg.

The Siyum was held at the Katzman residence, followed by a parade and Hakafos to the Chabad House. The celebrations continued with a buffet dinner. Many Jews in the community, from all walks of life, joined in on the simcha.
