It’s become an annual tradition for tens of thousands in Eretz Yisroel to travel to Chevron for Shabbos Parshas Chayei Sara, the week we read how Avrohom Avinu purchased Mearas HaMachpelah from the non Jewish inhabitants of the land.
In the previous year, the annual tradition was unable to take place, due to the restrictions and health regulations in place due to the covid-19 pandemic.
Thankfully, this year, shluchim Rabbi Danny and Batsheva Cohen of Chabad in Chevron are once again preparing to host thousands of guests who will arrive on Friday, although they expect a smaller crowd than usual due to Covid-19.
Anash.org photographer Omri Rahamim Bahar traveled to the area to capture the sights and preparations for the special Shabbos.
