An impressive cooperation initiative between the Muslim and Jewish communities in Nigeria has enabled the distribution of a quarter of a million meals for the benefit of the widows of the Nigerian Muslim community and their families.

Thanks to the many partners and foundations, throughout the month of Ramadan more than 40 tons of food were packed in food parcels and then distributed across many states in Nigeria by Rabbi Israel Uzan and his wife Haya from the Humanitarian NGO ChabadAid.

The cooperation with the Imam has been commended at the highest levels of the Nigerian federal government as well as in the government of the states of Calabar, Kaduna, Lagos, Abuja Sokoto and Borno.

ChabadAid is a Jewish foundation that brings together supporters from many Jewish communities around the world and sets up humanitarian programs to serve of the local population of Nigeria (the most populous country in Africa, the vast majority of whose population lives unfortunately under the poverty line).
