Yeshivas Lubavitch Tiferes Yisroel, an English-speaking Chabad Yeshiva in Ramat Beit Shemesh, celebrated the grand opening of a new spacious campus sponsored by R’ Yitzchok Michaan of Brazil, with a renovated kitchen sponsored by R’ Dudi Farkash of Monsey, NY.
Yeshivas Lubavitch Tiferes Yisroel (YLTY) marked a significant milestone with the opening of its new campus in Ramat Beit Shemesh Aleph. This move reflects the yeshiva’s growth and its unwavering commitment to fostering a transformative educational environment for its students.
One talmid shared, “I’ve never personally experienced such an ideal environment for my learning. I really appreciate that the teachers and Hanholo see me as an individual and genuinely listen to what I have to say.”
The evening began with heartfelt dedication ceremonies, setting a tone of gratitude and inspiration.
The Beis Medrash Zal was generously dedicated by R’ Yitzchok Michaan in honor of his father, Shlomo Michaan Z”L. Though R’ Yitzchok was unable to attend, his sons, Mendy and Rafa Michaan, unveiled the plaque on his behalf. Speaking on behalf of the Michaan family, Mendy shared, “Our father always believed in the power of Torah learning and the importance of supporting institutions that inspire the next generation. We’re honored to make this dedication in his memory.”
The yeshiva’s newly refurbished kitchen was dedicated by R’ Dudi Farkash in honor of his grandmother, Bobe Liba. Rabbi Yekusiel Farkash, Moro De’asra of the Chabad community in Yerushalayim, led the unveiling alongside his wife and their grandson, Nochi Lewin, an alumnus of YLTY. Rabbi Farkash spoke movingly about his mother-in-law’s legacy: “Bobe Liba was known for her open home and very generous heart. It is fitting that this kitchen, which will nourish so many Temimim, is dedicated in her honor.”
R’ Dudi Farkash added, “This dedication is not just about honoring the past, but about investing and providing good gashmius for our bochurim who will carry the light of Torah and Chassidus to the world.”
The dedication ceremonies served as a powerful reminder of the yeshiva’s mission to inspire and guide its talmidim in their personal growth and connection to Torah and Chassidus. As YLTY continues to thrive in its new home, the evening highlighted the deep bonds between the yeshiva, its supporters, and the community.
