As High schoolers around the world eagerly countdown the days until Detroit Teen Camp’s new program, CGI Detroit announces the head counselors leading this year’s teen division.
Despite the cold weather and forecasts of more snow, the administration of Gan Yisrael Detroit remains steadfastly focused on the upcoming summer season.

CGI Detroit eagerly anticipates another summer filled with fun and fulfillment for both campers and staff members Bigashmius UbiRuchnius.
“The leadership team plays a crucial role in curating an experience of the highest Chassidishe standards, alongside organizing exhilarating and thrilling activities, in alignment with the Rebbe’s vision for Gan Yisroel,” remarked Mrs. Gillie Shanowitz , DTC Program Director.
“The committed head staff have dedicated the past few months assembling a team of chassidishe staff members, head staff and counselors. This group will guarantee that summer of 5784 is infused with chayus for learning and chassidishe conduct that will leave a lasting impact,”.
The daily schedule, packed with activities and exciting trips including the grand Midwest shluchos trip spanning through Wisconsin, Illinois, and beyond, promises non-stop excitement. Moreover, alongside the daily trips and activities, visiting shluchim will be coming to camp to infuse each camper with renewed chayus to carry back home.
Shluchim include Rabbi Yossi Shemtov, a longstanding mashpia at Camp Gan Yisrael; Rabbi Raleigh Resnick from Chabad of the Tri Valley, CA; and Mrs. Sara Blau, an author, educator, and extracurricular program director at BRHS, will be joining camp throughout the month.
Detroit Teen Camp will take place from Wednesday, July 31 / 25 Tammuz – Monday, August 26 / 22 Av.
