Camper Honored to Print Tanya After Learning 100 Lines

A camper at CGI Montreal, taking place this year in Burlingham, NY, was honored to begin the printing of the town’s first Tanya after winning a bidding war and learning 100 lines for the zchus.

CGI Montreal printed a Tanya in Burlingham, NY, where the camp is located this summer, due to travel restriction in Canada.

The printing of the Tanya, a first for the town, took place in honor of Chof Av, the yahrzeit of the Rebbe’s father, Harav Levi Yitzchak Schneerson.

Honored to begin the actual printing was a camper who had participated in a heated bidding war, and had won by committing to studying an additional 100 lines of Tanya by heart, besides for the Tanya learned throughout the summer.

Within 3 days of the printing, every camper already received their Tanya, distributed with much fanfare on Motzei Shabbos Parshas Shoftim.

The printing was made possible by staff members Mendel Tzikvashvili, Mendel Gurary, Moshe Wilhelm, and Yechiel Vogel.

“The campers were delighted to receive their copies of Tanya, and will iyh use them for many years to come,” a staff member told Anash.org.
