This Shabbos morning, bochurim in Yeshivas throughout the world will unite in learning a maamer in loving memory of Hatomim Meir Likhovetski, in honor of his 1-year yahrzeit.
Meir was spending the year on shlichus in Mason, Ohio, helping out the local shliach with CTeen programs when he tragically lost his life in a horrific car accident on Monday evening, 5 Adar II.
Meir gave his heart and soul to the Rebbe’s inyanim, from kovetz ha’oros, to learning Likkutei Sichos, to helping create the Igros app. He was always looking for ways to make it easier and more accessible to learn the Rebbe’s Torah.
In his memory, Yeshivos will be uniting in learning the maamar “Kol Yisroel 5733” which discusses Techias Hameisim and the coming of Moshiach. A special translation of the maamar into English was published by Hatomim Yisroel Karelin in honor of Meir.
“Meir always had a passion for learning Chassidus, let’s all unite this shabbos in honor of his yahrzeit to continue his passion for Chassidus and to bring us to the Geulah speedily in our days!” organizers said.
