Bochurim from the Suffield Yeshiva and boys from Lubavitch Yeshiva’s 8th grade joined together to learn about shechita, print a Tanya, and unite for Hakhel.

The visit was part of a trip taken by the 8th grade of Lubavitcher Yeshiva, headed by their teacher Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Shmueli.

The boys first visited the Chabad Yeshiva in Suffield, Connecticut, headed by led by rosh yeshiva and menahel Rabbi Menachem Mendel Fogelmanmashpia Rabbi Menachem Mendel Sorkin and Rabbi Benzion Bluming, Dean and Menahel of the Yeshiva campus and mashpia of Shiur Beis.

The two groups together then took a trip to watch a live shechita demostration by veteran Luubavitcher shochet Rabbi Chezy Posner, who showed them how an animal is shechted, how it is checked to see if it is kosher, and the other steps in the process.

At the same time, a Tanya printing was held nearby, organized by local shliach Rabbi Yoseph Gottlieb.

Upon their return to the Yeshiva campus, the two groups gathered together for a Kinus Hakhel and a special shiur on shechita delivered by Hatomim Eliyahu Ezagui.
