Crown Heights residents and bochurim gathered in 770 on Monday night for a Chai Elul, where they heard from Rabbi Chay Amar and Harav Yosef Braun. A special moment at the farbrengen was when a bochur completed Shas followed by joyous dancing.

Crown Heights residents and bochurim gathered in 770 on Monday night for a Chai Elul, the birthday of the Baal Shem Tov and the Alter Rebbe.
The farbrengen was addressed by Harav Yosef Braun of the Crown Heights Beis Din, and Rabbi Michoel Golomb, mashpia in 770 and others. A surprise visitor was Rabbi Chay Amar
In addition to the regular program, a special and unique event took place at the farbrengen. A 22 year old bochur made a Siyum Hashas, after having completed Shas on his own over the past years. After completing the last Masechta and saying the customary tefillos and Kaddish, the entire crowd burst into dance, singing “Sisu v’Simchu besimchas Torah,” celebrating the special day and the incredible accomplishment.
