A Lubavitcher bochur who was using a laundromat on the outskirts of Crown Heights was assaulted in what he says was clearly an anti-semitic attack.

The bochur, who asked not be identified, is an Israeli student who is spending the year learning in 770. He told Anash.org that he was using the Crystal Touch Laundromat on St. Johns Place between Kingston and Albany when he was approached by a Black male.

“Most of the people in the store were also not wearing masks, and I was also not wearing a mask, but for some reason the man only approached me,” the bochur told Anash.org.

The man began screaming at the bochur, demanding that he put on a mask. He then began assaulting the bochur, and then pushed him on the change machine, toppling both of them to the ground.

“I immediately called Shmira and the police, and both arrived within minutes, but the attacker had already escaped by the time they arrived,” the bochur told Anash.org.

According to the bochur, the attack was clearly motivated by anti-semitism, as most of the people in the store were not wearing masks, and neither was the attacker himself!

“Unfortunately, the owner of the laundromat, who happens to be Jewish, refused to cooperate with the NYPD and hand over the footage from the security cameras, so as of the moment, no charges were pressed,” the bochur said.
