Through the most formative years of a girl’s life, Bnos Menachem educates and elevates students to live a life founded upon and illuminated by the light of Chassidus. The new ‘Akeres’ program is now continuing the Bnos Menachem tradition for mothers.

Akeres is a new initiative inspiring and empowering the mothers of Bnos Menachem to realize our ultimate Aim of making a dwelling for Hashem by maximizing our inherent Akeres.

The Bnos Menachem PTA recently launched Akeres on Motzei Shabbos, 23 Kislev, recognizing our mothers’ many roles as the akeres habayis. “Let’s celebrate You as a Woman, You as a Wife, You as a Mother, You as a Mechaneches, You as the Shabbos Queen, and You as the Master Chef,” remarked Mrs. Nechamy Rabin at Akeres’s inaugural event. “YOU are the most important person in YOUR home, and we are here to provide you with support in whatever way we can.”

A highlight of the kickoff event included a phenomenal Paint & Learn experience led by Mrs. Sarah Blau. Emphasizing the unique power of women in the story of Chanukah, Mrs. Blau shared how “the victory over Halifornos came about through the brave Yehudis bringing about the miracle of Chanukah both for the women and by a woman!”

Attendees also participated in six different raffles to celebrate the six hats a mother wears, with prizes such as an exquisite diamond ring, a gift card to a restaurant (with an Uber gift card to get there!), a luxurious massage, and more.

The next Akeres event is scheduled for mid-Teves and will be a two-part series of parenting conversations with Mrs. Estee Lieblich MS ED. As an early childhood consultant, Mrs. Lieblich is a Certified Temperament Specialist and Parenting Instructor. She will run an exclusive discussion and guide mothers toward mindful parenting for heartfelt relationships.

Akeres was established under the guidance of the Vaad of Bnos Menachem and in alliance with the school principals. Together, the devoted mothers of the PTA including, Mrs. Maryasha Djian, Mrs. Libby Klein, Mrs. Rochi Korolitzky, Mrs. Nechamy Rabin, Mrs. Subie Rubashkin, and Mrs. Nechama Dina Schmukler, have committed to do their utmost in support of every Bnos Menachem mother.

“Mothers can anticipate well-rounded support and enrichment for the four integral aspects of our identity: as a member of the Bnos Menachem community, as a chosid of the Rebbe, as a dugma chaya, and as a mother. Akeres thinks motherwise,” organizers said.
