Members of Nosson Shul in Crown Heights gathered Wednesday night to celebrate Chai Elul, the birthday of the Baal Shem Tov and the Alter Rebbe.
The farbrengen also marked the birthday of the late Rabbi Zushe Wilhelm a”h, the longtime principal of Oholei Torah Mesivta and director of Lemaan Yilmedu semicha program.
Friends and family members of Reb Zushe joined the farbrengen. Speakers shared memories about his legendary passion for learning and disseminating Torah, and being a living example of love for Torah and Chassidus for thousands of students.
