Belzer Rebbe’s Grandson Fulfills Rebbe’s Directive

VIDEO: Harav Avraham Tzvi Rokeach, the grandson of the Belzer Rebbe, stopped by Chabad of the Airport on Wednesday where he purchased letters in the Children’s Sefer Torah, continuing a practice of his grandfather.

Harav Avraham Tzvi Rokeach, the grandson of the Belzer Rebbe Harav Yissachar Dov Rokeach, stopped by the Chabad of the airport counter on his return trip to Eretz Yisroel.

After hearing about the various activities of Lubavitch, among them the writing of the Unity Torahs (Sefer Torah Hakloli), Rav Rokeach purchased letters in the Children’s Sefer Torah for his children.

This was done specifically in honor of Shnas Hakhel, just as his grandfather, the current Belzer Rebbe, had done when the Rebbe first announced the initiative of writing the Children’s Sefer Torah in 5741/1981 Shnas Hakhel.

Rabbi Shmuly Butler presented Rav Rokeach with the Sefer Darchei Hachassidus. A conversation ensued around the warm relationship shared between Lubavitch and Belz throughout the generations.

Rav Rokeach gave words of chizuk and bracha for the continued success of the Rebbe’s Shlichus of ChabadAir under its Director Rabbi Yossi Rapp.
