Bais Menachem of North Miami Beach recently celebrated the completion of the inaugural year of its new Yeshivas Erev program, with a lavish banquet for fathers and sons.
Yeshivas Erev brings together boys in grades 5-8 every Tuesday and Wednesday for one hour to learn Chumash, Mishnayos, Gemara, and more. The program is led by local parent and expert mechanech Rabbi Yehoshua Segall, who shows genuine care to each participant, nurturing within them all a lifelong dedication to Torah.
Throughout the year, Yeshivas Erev boys were rewarded with Yeshivas Erev Dollars, redeemable for sefarim at the end of the year, as well as exciting raffles. Boys were delighted to add new volumes to their growing personal libraries, with one parent proudly expressing his satisfaction, “It’s beautiful to see that my child has started his own sefarim library with everything he has received.”
The end-of-the-year banquet boasted a grand gala banquet and was graced with words of inspiration by the Rov of Bais Menachem Rabbi Yosef Marlow, including siyumim made by three seventh-grade bochurim Mendel Biton, Zalman Marlow and Sholom Ber Steinberg followed by insightful divrei Torah.
A meaningful tribute to the importance of making Torah a central part of life, the evening was an opportunity for fathers and sons alike to reflect on the fruits of the past year, and look forward to the next.
