On Yud Beis Tammuz, talmidim in Cheder Chabad Baltimore Summer Program had the zechus to visit the Tzemach Tzedek Lubavitch shul in Baltimore, where the Frierdiker Rebbe said a maamar connected to Yud Beis Tammuz, 95 years ago.

In 5690 (1930), the Frierdieker Rebbe spent a year in America during which he visited several US cities. One of those cities was Baltimore, where he stayed for three weeks, from 12 Teves until 4 Shvat.

On Chof Daled Teves, the Frierdiker Rebbe visited the Tzemach Tzedek Lubavitch shul, where he davened Maariv and delivered a maamar beginning with the words ‘Yehi Hashem Elokeinu Imonu.’

95 years later, the Cheder Chabad Baltimore Summer Program had the zechus to visit the shul on Tuesday, 12 Tammuz, in honor of the day of the Frierdiker Rebbe’s Birthday and Chag Hageulah.

The campers received a tour of the shul, where the Frierdiker Rebbe had said the maamer 95 years earlier, sang a few niggunim, and recited the 12 pessukim. Afterwards, the older bunks had fabrengens with their staff at various Shluchim around the area, while the younger division had a special rally, including a special video presentation prepared by the staff.
