Baltimore’s Lubavitch community got a taste of the authentic yeshiva morning experience with a carefully planned schedule that included Chassidus, nigleh, halacha, davening shacharis, and breakfast.
The initiative is running for six Sundays in the summer where balabatim can come and experience a taste of Yeshiva with in-depth lessons and chavrusa-style learning. The program is inclusive of the whole community with members from all shuls participating.
While the fathers are engaged in learning, a Tzivos Hashem camp is held simultaneously for the boys, where they learn Mishnayos and Gemara, and engage in fun programs and activities.
Each morning, the program begins with shiurim in Chassidus given by Rabbi Nochum Bukiet and Rabbi Levi Greenbaum, mashpi’im at Yeshivas Lubavitch of Baltimore.
After Shachris and a full breakfast, the crowd reassembles for in-depth shiurim in nigleh given by Rabbi Moshe Slavaticki and Rabbi Nochum Levin, maggidei shiur at the Yeshiva. Followed by a 20-minute halacha shiur.
The program was spearheaded by R’ Mendel Shushan, R’ Sholom Rosenbloom arranged the kid’s program, and Mendel Rosnebaltt from speedy graphics.
Special thanks go to the above-mentioned staff of Yeshivas Lubavitch Baltimore and Menahel Rabbi Levi Nejar for allowing the use of the premises for the kids program. Ohel Levi Yitzchok under Rabbi Elchonon Lisbon for hosting the adult program and the counselors, as well as Rabbi Yechiel Schanowitz.
