At First Ever YG Banquet, the Bochurim Didn’t Say ‘Goodbye’
At YG Melbourne’s first annual farewell banquet, arranged entirely by the bochurim, participants enjoyed a four-course meal alongside an uplifting program of videos, niggunim, and speeches centered on the theme that “Chassidim don’t say goodbye” and parting is only the next step in continued growth and connection.

The bochurim of YG Melbourne arranged the first annual banquet celebrating the many bochurim finishing their time in YG, an event put together fully by the bochurim.
The bochurim were treated to a four-course meal throughout the evening, with the program being emceed by Hatomim Mendy Abenaim.
The banquet featured video presentations, niggunim led by Hatomim Chaim Liberow, and speeches from bochurim and shluchim focusing on how it is not an “end,” but rather that we are always growing and advancing forward. “Chassidim don’t say goodbye” was also a central theme, emphasizing how we are all connected despite physical distance.
Because of the difference in the Australian yeshiva year, bochurim staying for 5786 are continuing strong until Tishrei, and they are wished much hatzlacha.
The event was planned and arranged beautifully by two dedicated bochurim, Hatomim Zevi Litzman and Hatomim Tzviki Levine, without their vision and dedication, the event couldn’t have happened.
Special thanks to Yoav Cooper, Berel Wolf, Tzemach Walles, Mendy Karnowsky, and Zusha Yudasin for helping to make this possible.
