A host of shiurim, farbrengens and seudas were on the schedule of the American bochurim learning in 770 over the weekend of Yud Tes Kislev.

On Friday night, the bochurim joined the regular leil Shabbos seder Chassidus until 8:00 PM, long after baalebatim were home enjoying their Shabbos seudah. They then davened kabolas Shabbos and ma’ariv, followed by a grand seudas Shabbos and farbrengen. Joining them were mashgiach Rabbi Levi Klyne and mashpia Rabbi Shmuly Avtzon. The farbrengen continued well past 2:00 AM.

On Shabbos afternoon, a second farbrengen was held in 770’s small zal, led by Rabbi Avtzon, mashpia Rabbi Shlomo Zarchi, and Rabbi Kuti Feldman. This farbrengen as well continued for many hours, only concluding at 8:00, hours after Shabbos ended.

A full fleishig seudah was held on Motzei Shabbos in Rubashkin’s basement, organized by bochurim Chaim Piekarski and Shneur Carlebach, with over 250 bochurim joining. Speaking were bochurim Meir Lazaroff, Mendel Shpritzer, and Shneur Carlebach, hanhala members Rabbi Levi Klyne and Rabbi Mendel Potash, and guest speaker Rabbi Bentzion Oster from Los Angeles.

The official program was followed by a farbrengen with Rabbi Shlomo Zarchi that continued until 5 AM, and another in 770 with Rabbi Levi Klyne.

Farbrengens continued on Sunday throughout the day, alongside with increased study of Chassidus, as fit for Rosh Hashanah L’chassidus. Before shkiah, bochurim washed and sat down for another seudah and farbrengen with Rabbi Shloime Kaplan that continued until 10 PM.

The weekend full of programs was another expression of the revitalization of the English-speaking division of the 770 Yeshiva. With the new Seder Dach program, the younger hanhala and the increased consideration being given to the bochurim, the English-speaking division is quickly becoming the destination of choice for bochurim looking to spend a productive year.
