Bochurim of Central Tomchei Temimim gathered Wednesday night to brainstorm ideas on how best to prepare for the Rebbe’s 121st birthday on Yud Alef Nissan.
The meeting was attended by dozens of American and English-speaking bochurim who suggested and discussed meaningful ways to prepare for the Rebbe’s birthday which is just six weeks away.
Among the ideas suggested was that all bochurim should participate in publishing a kovetz haoros for Yud Alef Nissan, and strengthening seder sichos after seder.
In the spirit of Hakhel, it was suggested that the bochurim divide Sefer Hamamorim Melukat or another area of the Rebbe’s Torah and that the bochurim should jointly learn 121 ma’amorim baal peh.
One recurring suggestion shared by all the speakers was that in addition to learning the Rebbe’s Torah there is a need to strengthen hiskashrus through hearing the Rebbe’s voice directly. Recommendations suggested were joining the weekly screening of a farbrengen every Thursday night, watching a small portion of a farbrengen daily, and listening to the Rebbe’s voice for a few minutes every single day.
