Rabbis Gadi and Mendy Hershkop of the Crown Heights Shomrim surprised NYPD Sergeant Mike Baratta with a cake for his birthday on Monday.
Sergeant Baratta serves as 71st Precinct Community Affairs Officer and is a familiar face among the Crown Heights community. He is well-known for his tireless assistance to the community and for going out of his way to help with all of the many events that take place in Crown Heights throughout the year.
The birthday cake and surprise was “In appreciation for everything he does for every Crown Heights resident in a manner that personifies courtesy, professionalism, and respect,” Mendy told Anash.org.
